The first faculty for girls in the Kingdom was established in Riyadh city in the beginning of 1390H. That was during the reign of King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz. - Afterwards, faculties were constantly opened year after year till they reached in 2006 102 faculties distributed over the different regions of the Kingdom (72 cities). In addition, number of female students reached 600.000. - There have been 6 faculties for girls in Riyadh specialized in the fields of Education, Social Service, Arts, Science, and Home Economy. - All such faculties have played a significant role appearing in the graduation of female teachers for all stages of General Education for Girls over the last 35 years. In addition, female graduates supported the localization (Sauda) of all vacancies all over the various stages of Education. - The high studies began in 1397H where the first doctorate degree was granted in 1403H. Afterwards, effective high studies programs reached 55 programs distributed among 18 faculties. - After supervision over girls faculties had been transferred to Ministry of High Education, all faculties of girls were subordinated to the University located in the same region of each of such faculties. - Princess Nora Bint Abdul Rahman University were then established subordinating all faculties in Riyadh region amounting 23 colleges.
